FAQ

When is the best time to do a family shoot?

The ideal time is early morning, while the sun is rising or late afternoon in the hour leading up to sunset. This is for a few reasons: the early morning and late afternoon light is lovely. Children can often be at their best after a good night's sleep, which helps with morning sessions. If mornings or late afternoon don't work for you I'm happy to find a time that suits your family.

How long in advance should we book?

My calendar fills up pretty quickly, to avoid disappointment I always advise to provisionally book a date at-least 1 month in advance so that we have plenty of time to plan and style your session.

When is the best time to do a maternity shoot?

I always recommend your seventh or eighth month of pregnancy (+-30 weeks). Your baby bump will have a nice round shape during this time, perfect for taking photographs - before you start to become too heavy and uncomfortable. If you take maternity photos after your eighth month of pregnancy, your maternity might be uncomfortable.

When should I schedule my newborn shoot?

The best time to do the shoot is between 5 and 14 days old. They start changing very quickly after 14 days, and becoming a lot more alert.

How to prepare for a session

Depending on the nature of the photoshoot - preparation varies. After you have made your booking, I will send through further information and tips to make the best out of our shoot.
